Youth apartments

Why are you investing in youth apartments?

To give young people a chance to enter the housing market and to have the first lease of their own. Read more about why we are investing in youth apartments

Who can rent a youth apartment?

Young people aged between 18 and 25.

What do I do if I want to rent a youth apartment?

The same as you would for other apartments. Register your interest in the available apartments listed on our website. Some of the apartments will be listed as youth apartments.

Where are the youth apartments located?

Spread across all of our properties. We will also be earmarking ten per cent of our future new housing for young people.

How can I tell if an apartment is a youth apartment?

This will be indicated on our website.

How long can you stay in a youth apartment?

There is no time limit. You can carry on living there after you are 25.

Most youth apartments are small and are suitable for smaller households and we believe that as you get older, you will want accommodation that matches your changing life situation better. We hope this will result in a natural process of apartment moves.

When will you be making the youth apartments available for rent?

As and when they become available among our properties, as well as when we have built new housing.

Do youth apartments mean that young people jump the queue?

This is similar to our apartments for seniors and those for students, which you can also only rent if you meet certain criteria.

How many youth apartments will you be offering?

There are 400 at present.

I live in a youth apartment and want to sublet or exchange apartments, am I allowed to do that?

Yes, but if you wish to do so, the one you exchange apartments with or sublet to has to be between 18 and 25 years old.
