Collecting the keys
When you are moving in, you collect your keys from your Area Landlord. Contact your Area Landlord beforehand and make an appointment to collect your keys. You are able to collect the keys Monday through Friday 7.30 am to 12 am and 1 pm to 4.30 pm.
NB: To be able to get your keys your contract must be signed and you must pay your first rent. Bring identification (e.g. passport or drivers licence).
If you are unable to collect your keys, you can give a friend or a relative a power of attorney so that he or she can get the keys instead of you.
Collecting the keys earlier
If you are going to move in earlier than the entry date on your agreement, the departing tenant has to leave a power of attorney that gives you the right to collect the keys earlier.
Please note that if you and the departing tenant has agreed on your moving in earlier than the entry date of the agreement, you are responsible for controlling that the cleaning of the flat is approved. This is always an agreement between the new tenant and the departing tenant and does not affect the agreement with Bostaden.
Moving in on a Saturday
If the 1st of the month is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, you cannot move in before the coming weekday at 12 noon.
Collecting keys to your parking space or garage
When you have signed the contract for your parking space or garage, you collect the keys from the Area Landlord who is responsible for the area in which the parking space or garage is located.
Collecting keys to your extra storage area
When you have signed the contract for your extra storage area, you collect the keys from the Area Landlord who is responsible for the area in which the storage area is located.
Where to hand in your keys when moving out
All keys are to be returned to your Area Landlord, including any copies that you have made. This also applies for keys to engine heaters, garages, storage areas and the key you use when booking the laundry room. You give all keys to your Area Landlord. If any keys are missing when you hand them in, we must charge you according to a fixed price list.
The apartment is to be ready for the next tenant and the keys returned to the Area Landlord no later than 12 noon on the day of moving in. If this is a public holiday, the time that applies is 12 noon on the first working day after the holiday.
