If you want to rent with us, we expect you to
- have passed your 18th birthday
- exceptions can be made if you have your domicile in another municipality, you cannot commute and you will do your high School i Umeå. In that case - contact Customer Service Centre.
- have references from previous landlord(s) and a satisfactory ability to pay. Customers who have not paid their rent as they should or who have been the subject of frequent complaints from neighbours are not accepted as tenants.
- have a good financial situation with no record of non-payment, and a regular income for at least six months from the day you move in. A regular income is a salary, pension, unemployment benefit or equivalent, income from capital, income support from the Municipality of Umeå and government student grants under the Education Plan.
Notification to the foreign exchange students: We hereby wish you to be attentive to your stay by confirming your approval for VISA before you book for any accommodation.
If you do not fulfil the above demands we are unable to approve your application for accommodation and you will be stopped from further applications. As long as the circumstances remain, you will not be able to apply. However, when you are able to show us that the situation has changed you are welcome to apply for accommodation with us. Your registration time will not be affected by this.
